Did a bit of slalom racing today at the Vlei, to support the guys from Bay Sports (the NP/JP shop) and join in the fun. I actually only went up to the lake to collect my harness, which I had left in Pauls van, but after seeing the first race I rigged up my 4.7 Combat and grabbed a JP SuperX96 Pro. The wind was 25-30 knots and pretty choppy. The local guys were on RS5 5.8m and dedicated slalom, and were very suprised to see me lead the whole first race, until at the very last minute Cedric (French Pro) squeezed past on a 5.5m and Fanatic Slalom Proto.
