First attempt at setting a new World Record for Irish Sea Crossing had to be abandoned 11 miles out near the Kish lighthouse, due to the wind reaching 30 knots (not forecast), making it hard going forme and the support boat. Ideally we are looking for 16- 20 knots,which should make it a crossing of approx 3 hours.
